Hi all,
I want to take a VF broadband package, but unsure how it's handled with no existing line, and only being a silver address. The house once had a telephone, but the previous owners were with Virgin media for 20 years, so I'm guessing it's just dropped of the database. All house either side of me are gold addresses by the looks of it, so I'm the anomaly.
Would VF get the line installed for me, and would the cost be included or reduced for that install?

Please read the above thread from 2019 as you may need to liase with the Vodafone Social Media Teams to get up to date clarity on a Silver Address Status. They however don't private message anymore from the forum.

Sorry just to mention, it is the cp who has to make the request to Openreach to convert to gold status. If VF can''t do that, then it does mean having to go with someone else, and I guess that would have to be BT themselves.
I'll ask anyway.

Vodafone said they can't provide me a phone line or convert me to gold.
I have gone with Zen who are willing and able to get this done for me.
