Hi there,
Total newbie here. I'm moving into a new flat soon as a tenant and have been looking into full fibre broadband options. I did the BT fibre availability checker, and it does sound like FTTP is available. The landlord, however, does not seem to consent to drilling. Letting agents do not know what is already installed in the flat or what service previous tenants used. Is there any way of telling whether drilling will absolutely be required or not before an engineer visits? Thank you!

Hello, @erdem3. I hope you're well.
I understand that you have some concerns about the installation and if it will require drilling.
When switching to a full fibre connection from a standard broadband connection, it's often the case that some form of work would need to be completed at the site, and that would likely include drilling. However, since you're uncertain about what connection is already available at the property, you can speak with the acquisitions team by calling up on 03333 040 191, or via Live Chat, to see what they advise during that initial order stages.
