Connection keeps dropping

I've had Vodafone business broadband for about 6 months but the connection has been dropping every few seconds. I've had an absolute nightmare with getting any help from Vodafone but finally spoke to a technician who suggested that an extender (a non-Vodafone one) that we have on the network is interfering with the router. We've had the same set up since installing Vodafone broad band and the issue has only been really recent. Anyone come across this before?

When you say the connection is dropping do you mean Wi-Fi or broadband  connection?

I suspect they are just looking for something to blame, that isn't theirs.

Could you not run without the extender for a while to eliminate it.

I've had vodafone broadband for 5 weeks, and my wifi kept dropping every 10 minutes. I've had this problem from day 1, but despite several attempts, they wouldn't investigate the problem until after the 14 day free contract cancellation was over.

I've also been told that its a wifi extender problem. I have a TP-Link extender which has worked flawlessly with a PlusNet and 2 different BT routers.

To try and cure the problem, I bought a NetGear extender. Same problem only now the disconnects only occur every hour. Still an annoyance when your streaming a film.

Of course it's not a vodafone problem,  "Vodafone does not guarantee wifi connectivity" I've been told by support.

Advice I've been given by support is to

a) buy different extenders until I find one that works

b) upgrade my broadband to the version which provides a vodafone extender

c) move to another provided and pay the early termination fee.

And it's taken hours of my time to get to this position. I wish I'd never switched to vodafone.

Seriously, just get a decent router, or if you have to keep the Vodafone router for the VoIP, just get a mesh and use it in access point mode.
