DSL Connection Continually Dropping Out

DSLDropout

Hi there,

I am having endless trouble with my DSL connection continually dropping out. I had hoped it was the Vodaone router, so I replaced this with a modem (Huawei HG612 3B) - as advised by Keith on these forums) and an Asus XT8. This was working at first, but the dropouts have started again. Each time the DSL light on the modem goes out.

This is really impacting my work, as I am currently working from home. I have tried live chat but this has not solved the issue. Please can you tell me how we can resolve this issue? If this continues then I need to be released from my contract as this is not an acceptable level of service.

Thank you.

If the DSL light is going out it sounds like a connection problem between you and the cabinet.

Check your connection to the wall socket and if all good it will probably need Openreach to resolve.

Don't waste time with chat or social media, just call them direct.

Broadband Support 08080 034 515.

You will probably have to wait a longgg time to get answered but leave it on handsfree and get on with life. At least it's a free-phone number.

  • That's really helpful Jayach, thank you. I'll get onto broadband support.
