Deco XE75 and Vodafone set up help

Hi

Does anyone have all the input details on setting up a DECO XE75 with Vodafone Fibre. I have the PPPoe username and password as I am using a TP Link router at the moment, but wanting to switch over to a faster mesh. The details are the same and I add them, but it's still glowing red, so something isn't right in the set up. I was told to add VLAN 901 (though my current set up doesnt have it) and it doesn't work - with or without. If someone has got over this issue with the set up, I would be most grateful!

Thanks. I've already been through this thread for when I was setting up but to no avail.

I don't know why Vodafone keep giving 901 at the VLAN, it isn't correct for either Openreach or CityFibre.

As the setup should be very similar to the previous TP-Link, is it possible you are misreading the username and password from wherever you saved them. Try copy and pasting them from the current one to a txt file, and copy and paste into the new one.

Thanks - thats what I thought so put them in manually, no copy and paste etc and they were correct but still didn't work.

Anyone able to give any further advice at all or recommend a company that can come fix these kinds of things?

I have EXACTLY the same problem.  I have a Deco EX75 and a mesh system M5.  I want to replace my vodafone router with the Deco EX75 and I've been through all the threads, keep trying different suggestions and my Deco just goes Red at the end of it.  I get as far as creating a network.  It has been days of me trying and I'm driving myself nuts with it to the point of wanting to return to BT where replacing a router was much easier.

I ended up plugging it into my Vodafone router, switching off the Vodafone WiFi and creating a new WiFi network on the deco. Works fine.

Maybe that is the answer, that I can't replace the router.....which I really want to do, else the deco is just an expense access point 😞

Contact CS and get them to confirm your PPPoE details. Mistakes happen.
