Hi, as of today, my fire stick is not connecting to our home broadband. This has been working fine since I had the broadband installed over a year ago. Today it is saying that it is connected to the WiFi with good signal strength and “channel 11 quality” however there is no internet connection
I have connected the stick to the internet via my phone becoming a hotspot but I am getting nothing on my home broadband - this tells me that the stick itself is fine
I can see the stick in my Vodafone broadband app also

I've had the issue a few times since I first posted, each time leaving the router off for half a minute or so before rebooting has worked.
Of course there is the possibility that a software update has been pushed out,

Oh my God you’re kidding me. Since I’ve gotten the issue two other people I know have spoken up about their similar issues

Are they both on Vodafone too?
I no longer have my firestick, but I had no problems using it whilst I did.
I wonder if the Vodafone content controls are interfering with the firestick. The easiest way to overcome them is to not use the Vodafone DNS.

Else it's the old issue that the VF router likes channels 12 & 13 which many Amazon firesticks can't see. In which case you need to speak to VF Customer Support and have them stop your router from using the channels.
Q: Why could Amazon set up the Echo and most (not all) of their devices to use all the 2.4GHz channels but not the Firestick?

It's like they're selling the US model here now - USA don't have 12&13. But I wonder how this would affect most of the rest of the world.

As far as I know, all firesticks can use 5Ghz, and if the device is too far from the router to "see" the 5Ghz, I doubt the 2,4Ghz will be effective.
With the THG3000, I've had devices that selected 2.4Ghz (presumably because it's signal was higher) but when I've switched them to 5ghz the throughput was better, despite the lower signal strength.

we had to move all of that furniture and move the television across the room, finally worked on 2.4ghz. Thank you for insight I will attempt to 5Ghz and get back to you.

I have the same issues and I have not received a great response from the technical support team. Tried calling many times and spoke to many people who tried to resolve the issues from their end. I had the service tested many times and I was told that the modem was connected and not faulty.
In desperation I decided to try and fix it myself. Tried changing the DNS settings. Tried making an exception in the DMZ. Tried switching off the firewall. No success whatsoever. And then I tried switching off the IPv4 server and setting the router to IPv6 only. The spinning blue circle of death I had been watching for 6 full days since I was connected instantly turned into a TV show. Seems to be that the router is in need of a new firmware update I'm my opinion. Let's be honest here, the fire stick works fine on every other router and ISP provided modem I have tried it on and there are no issues. Vodafone's router appears to have problems with prioritising traffic with IPv4 enabled and what's worse is that technical support will argue with you till you are loosing the will to live telling you that everything is fine and if you just give it another 24 hours it might be fixed. I tried to call the second line team back to look let them know this and the response was underwhelming. Not interested. Hopefully you will get it sorted out. Also gets android TV back online as it was giving me the same pain.

@colincurran VF doesn't do IP6. There's no point in trying IP6.
This may change in the future, but there's no official announcement.

Do you mean you switched off IPv6 in the router? If you disable IPv4 nothing will work. As @Cynric say Vodafone are not using IPv6 yet.
Also if firesticks were not working on Vodafone, there would be a lot more complaints on here.
