Hi, I just received my gigabox and trying to hook it up to my playstation 4, it appears I've been stuck with a Nat Type 3, I've tried all the usually things like port forwarding and static IP, upon research I've seen plenty of others with this same problem with Vodaphone yet not a problem on 3, as I'm still within my timeframe to return the product I'd like to know if there will be a fix for this? I believe public ips are what is needed but according to other threads Vodaphone don't do this (yes I've changed my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) is this something that is going to be addressed or should I just cancel now as paying 50 pound a month for restricted gaming is far too much for me.
Any help that would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi,
has there been any fix for this at all? I am thinking of using the GIGACUBE In bridge mode to link up with my nighthawk.
is there anyway to get consoles on a Moderate or Open Nat?
if not I will likely be cancelling my order.
thanks

Unless the issue is billing, it’s not a priority for Vodafone unfortunately.

Has anyone even managed to get a moderate Nat using this?

I’ve never been able to get anything other than strict with the router unless further adding a VPN tunnel to the mix. The inbuilt VPN options aren’t very useful.

Thanks, how do I go about adding a VPN? Is this something that can be done on the router settings?
Also do you notice a difference in speeds/performance when using the VPN?

There are VPN settings on the router, but the speeds that you can get with those providers is very slow by comparison. I setup a raspberry pi to act as a VPN tunnel for a single device and performance is alright.
There are VPN routers available, however some of them restrict uPNP, so that would restrict NAT.

The only way to get anything other than strict NAT is with a VPN, Vodafone will not open up their network, they won't allow static IP addresses, they won't do ##~##, because either they just want money and couldn't care less about received service, or they think all of their customers are morons who can't protect themselves online, either way: F*** you Vodafone, as soon as my contracts up I'm buying an unlimited sim with O2 and you can kiss my a**

Yeah I have today had to cancel my contract. Didn’t even get to use the product it’ll be going straight back.
can anyone recommend a decent 4G/5G service that’s good for gaming?
