This still needs more people to take action by reporting it to Vodafone

Dear Vodafone users and experts
I have recently joined vodafone through cityfiber in Coventry and I have the 500mbps pack . Through the first 3 days my ping was constantly 5ms. All of the sudden it almost doubled to 9ms .
I have tried everything : swapped back to vodafone router (currently using Linksys EA8300) , changed cables, swapped router port, even got my work laptop connected .Nothing works .
I have raised a ticket with the l1 team which was assigned to L2 and the answer I got is that it must be within my house....
here's the Ping  and tracert to BBC

Funny enough, the 3rd IP in the trace is in USA... is that related ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is a ping of 9ms causing you problems in watching the BBC?

The internet is a net, and the paths that data take can vary from day to day, based on paths between nodes being available and having capacity.  So we get some variability.  I wouldn't be looking at the absolutes, but only when things are causing issues.

Fyi my pathping to the BBC:

Not even worth posting mine. The gateway is 21ms and then it's just routed all over the place, Manchester, Leeds, Ireland, etc etc.

I actually get lower pings to servers in Germany than anything in the UK

We are fighting 2 wars, high pings with gigafast who have refused to do anything and now bad routing with vodafone.

As soon as my contract is up, I'm switching back to BT.

@purrbox - I've replied to the post on your post on the other thread

You've asked us to message you on Facebook. It's just going to be some 1st line tech saying switch your router off and on.

You know what the problem is. Why waste our time any further?

Actually, the social media team are even more clueless than 1st line., At least 1st line have a script, social media are just useless.
