How long after provisioning should it take to get internet working?

I had  broadband installed yesterday and i still have no internet connection. (Red flashing internet light).

Using vodafone chat yesterday and again today i was informed that the router needed provisioning which they informed me has been done. The last time was over 3 hours ago and still no internet. Do i continue to wait or do i need to call again? (I’ve rebooted the router an few time too without success)

If the internet led is flashing red, it has nothing to do with provisioning, the router is simply not connecting to the street cabinet. (Edit: this is assuming you are on FTTC, not FTTP)

Is this a new install, or are you moving from another supplier?

It was a new installation last Thursday, still no internet today so not very impressed so far with the service and support. My virgin broadband is still active for a few days yet, I’m sure they will be happy to take me back. 🙁

Did you already have the BT/Openreach phone socket in the property, or is it a new FTTP (full fibre) installation?

Hi Jayach, it was new installation, i was previously with Virgin.

It was a full new installation. I have 4 green lights on the ont box if that’s useful.

That is useful, it means you are on FTTP. The router lights mean a little different when on FTTP.

Unfortunately I'm not on FTTP so I won't really be able to help much, but which 4 lights are lit?

On the ONT it’s the power, broadband, service and ethernet lights which to a layperson indicates all is well with City fibre. 😕
