How long does it take from order placement to having FTTP working?

I am moving to a new build house. It has FTTP. I'd like to know how long it will take from placing an order to having wi-fi running? Is an enginner visit needed?

That's a bit like asking "how long is a piece of string".

As it's a new build, and has the infrastructure already installed it should be pretty quick, probably 10-14 days, hopefully it might be quicker, but if problems occur, who knows? .

No you shouldn't need an engineer.

.@Jayach Doesn't someone have to install the ONT box? Also if the fibre is only blown as far as the kerbside box (little black square set into the pavement) wouldn't they have to duct to the property?

As far as I know, the fibre and ONT will be installed during the build, which is what I assumed @imb123 meant by "It has FTTP". but yes, if it is only to the street, that will need completing.

Just to clarify, I believe that all the cabling is done.
