I had Vodafone FTTC at my old house for ages and it was fine, I did have a few line issues on occasion but they got BT out to fix them both times. I’ve now moved and it went live here early Monday AM, it’s synced at the max 79999 and 19999 since day one on the router and speed tests are consistently around 71 up and 17 down, which is great.
But it still seems to go slow every so often, 2 minutes to load Hotmail for example, or not loading this website til I gave up, did something else, then tried again. Last night my Xbox kept on disconnecting from EA servers.
Router is direct to a new master socket with built in filter, no phones anywhere. I’ve tried cabled, built in WiFi and a HUAWEI mesh WiFi system - same on them all.
As far as I know as it’s FTTC there is no 2 week training period? Any idea, Vodafone told me the usual try the test socket, which I will do tomorrow, but I’ve never seen that do anything. They said it passed a line test.

Put a draytek on I had lying around, any clues from this?
It’s been on around 12 hours and the error counts look huge.

Hey there @Firtrees - I understand how important it is to have a stable connection, especially now. Do you know what your minimum guaranteed speed is? If not, we can check this, just drop us a message on social media with your landline/account number and link back to your post.
After trying your router connected directly to the test socket, did you notice any improvement in the connection/speeds?

There is a training period on FTTC! Also if using a Draytek modem and you are having large numbers of errors reported they'll probably be genuine errors!

BT came out yesterday, line tested fine when they were here, he re-terminated in the house and pole, replaced the faceplate.
This morning my downstream SNR is 0!
No-one answers on the Vodafone number I was given to call if I still have problems. This is getting stupid now.

Look at those errors, although the SNR is back up now, and its atleast working right now.
Been on hold for an hour and 20 minutes.
