Hi Vodafone Community,
My proposed full fibre upgrade is due to be installed soon. Though, I suspect it will not go ahead because the engineers will have to dig up my neighbour’s rented property to connect it.
Is there a way to find out if I have a Wayleave Agreement, signed by my neighbour’s landlord, for a full fibre installation?
Thanks,
A

Hi All,
I wish I could predict the lottery numbers as easily as I can predict the outcome of my non-installation today.
The engineers left this morning, after I explained the situation.
It’s a shame that’s the second time I’ve wasted their time.
If only there was a way to make sure there was a Wayleave Agreement in place, for the property, before sending engineers out.
So long and thanks for all the fish!

Yep! They told me it would take up to a week to get a reply, from the Wayleave Department, as they have no direct contact with the customer service. CityFibre, literally, have to email them and then wait for the legal team to reply to their emails.

@Anonymous Oh for the integrated paperless office of the future that we were promised in the 1990s. 😀

We do have paperless offices, all over the world! It’s just a shame the answering of emails isn’t as quick as their fullfibre!

In other news: I should be glad Vodafone/CityFibre made me stay home from work today.
It now means I can fix the water leak in the bathroom, that’s just started dripping water through the ceiling lights.
Joy…

@Anonymous If you're really lucky, this'll open a route to run ethernet cable around the house. On a more serious note, damp in the wall/ceiling can give some consumer units problems as the earth leakage threshold is passed and it triggers the fuses. This happened to me when we had the kitchen walls re-plastered. Three days of no electricity in the ground floor if you turned on anything in the kitchen.

Thankfully, I’m used to living in the dark ages. And I will be… Well, at least until the ceiling lights dry out anyway.

Does anybody know if it’s possible to get a copy of a Wayleave Agreement, from Vodafone/CityFibre, which I can get signed by my neighbour’s landlord?
If so, from where?
Thanks

@Anonymous The second link that @Jayach posted earlier looks like the place to go.
