Master socket

Hi, my master socket is located upstairs, previously when I had my wifi plugged to the master socket upstairs it had issues with connecting to devices downstairs. I am thinking of switching to Vodafone which I know will use the master socket for their connections. Is it possible for me to request the master socket to be moved downstairs? And will I be charged if I ask them to do it?

@Harpy

Firstly, are you definitely in a non-full fibre area? If full fibre (either CityFibre or Openreach) is available Vodafone will use that.

Who are you with now?

I believe my area is fully fibre but I am not too sure. The master socket which is upstairs is a master socket 5c installed by open reach. But the connectivity from that room to the rest of the house is horrible. That’s why I was asking if it can be moved on request. I am currently with virgin media

OK., whilst you have been with Virgin, things may have moved on massively.
