I used to get 5ms ping to London (from Coventry), now I am being auto connected to Edinburugh and I get 15 ping to there, when I try to speedtest to London or even right next to me in Leicester I am getting pings above 22...I called in and they just said "they added new servers and there's nothing much we can do"...

any help?

It looks like there were two disconnects last night but sadly I'm still stuck on the Manchester BNG.

Sorry to hear that. Wish they would just return things to how they were before!

Someone within Vodafone surely knows exactly what is going on! We deserve explanations, not this kind of radio silence.

@Gerry_Atric

Have you checked to see it they may have been your router getting new firmware? Early hours of the morning is when it usually occurs.

Current version (AFAIK) is 19.4.0551-3261103, on another thread we are awaiting a new one to (hopefully) cure the problem there.

Good point.

Having checked the logs, I can't make much sense of it besides noticing some configuration changes and wan dropping etc. Nothing that gives a clue about firmware updates etc.

My version is: 19.4.0551-3261103  which appears to be the same as yours.

I will try and find the other thread you've mentioned to see what problems are hoping to be cured.

In this case, I believe the issue is related to the network configuration by Vodafone rather than the firmware itself. Things were working fine before someone in Vodafone messed the configuration up.

Yes. It might be worth trying but I doubt it, I’ve used both VF’s router and a 100+ Pound router. It makes no difference, same routing. We just have to wait for VF to be kind enough to give us the service we are paying money for.

Wow, that's a heavy router.🤣

@Gerry_Atric It's the Xbox one. Re: Xbox Series X wired connection issue - Page 8 - Community home (vodafone.co.uk)

I tried doing a firmware update and it failed suggesting that I try another time.

Yes, I don't think the upgrade option works. The only Time I've had firmware upgrades is in the early hours automatically, or after a factory reset of the router.

@Gerry_Atric @Ripshod Internet went out just now and came back, still Edinburgh. Gonna be awake until 1:30ish where the disconnects always happen and see if I'm placed back on normal routing!
