Ping/Latency way higher Gigafast 900

I used to get 5ms ping to London (from Coventry), now I am being auto connected to Edinburugh and I get 15 ping to there, when I try to speedtest to London or even right next to me in Leicester I am getting pings above 22...I called in and they just said "they added new servers and there's nothing much we can do"...

any help?

Nope nothing. Man I wasn't at home when I was placed back on Scotland routing. I went out at like 12ish and came back 3ish, it must be during that time they restarted my net and placed me back

Seriously, how hard is it to sort this Vodafone network configuration mess out?

Other ISPs seem to manage it fine? Ok, Zen have had similar issues in the past but at least they communicated about it and fixed it.

If I wasn't stuck in a contract I would have gotten out by now and changed to another ISP with a better reputation even if I have to pay more.

Yeah. Supposedly the best experiences are with those smaller ISP companies, but they're only in specific areas. You know like Hyperoptic & Gigaclear. With the big ISPs like VF you just have to deal with them not giving a [Removed], they don't need us because their average consumer base isn't even aware of how their service is doing unless it's completely gone down. @Gerry_Atric @Ripshod

@Gerry_Atric @Ripshod Okay now that I'm on Bracknell which still gives me excellent ping to London I've ordered a static IP, gonna let you guys know if this keeps me on the same routing or not (hopefully the static ip kicks in before I get bounced around again)

I had my static IP within about 15-20 minutes of ordering so fingers crossed

Nothing new to report. Router and ONT off for 30 minutes just now and still connected to Edinburgh. I hope I didn't mess myself up ordering my static IP while connected via Bonny Scotland.

That's good news, but I'll wait until this debacle is over.

I did mention the Edinburgh problem when I ordered it and was assured it'll sort itself out to a more local BNG (PoP).

Did this happen automatically in the background, or did you reconnect using the router? Curious!
