I used to get 5ms ping to London (from Coventry), now I am being auto connected to Edinburugh and I get 15 ping to there, when I try to speedtest to London or even right next to me in Leicester I am getting pings above 22...I called in and they just said "they added new servers and there's nothing much we can do"...
any help?

It's just legal-babble read from the script for (ahem) "non-vodafone employees".

@Cynric I've spoke to one or 2 CS reps that have some knowledge on the issue. You have to do your due diligence and try to figure out genuine information from boiler plate responses.
This link explains pathfinder, which it what was deployed.

It came from Vodafones blog. Feel free to share any information you have.
The TL;DR (for any new posters reading) is that there is a latency lottery. Some people will never be effected, others will. There's no way of knowing and CS are unable to move you onto a different gateway. All we can do is report it.

I would think the thread has lost all credibility now, to be honest

I agree, it should be locked.

Agreed. This thread has run its course. A similar thread will start up if significant numbers of others run into similar problems. At least we now have had the conversations necessary to provide explanations next time.

Yes, the thread is serving no purpose, especially as we know the latency/gateway problems do not effect Gigafast 900 (now Full Fibre 900) only.

I've said this before but you know you guys can upload the image to an image-hosting site like imgur, then just paste the link in your post...it will automatically show without needing to wait.
Also, I've been on a different ISP for the past 3-4 months and I gotta tell you I'm glad I'm not having to come onto this thread and talk about how VF is still messing things up with ping & packet-loss. Hopefully once they get through their upgrades which I heard will take up to mid-2023 your issues will resolve.

Kinda funny that so many people are connected to Edinburgh from South England but I'm in Edinburgh and frequently connect to the Southern England BNGs.
Currently on Leeds but have never been on Edinburgh.
It's not too bad as most of my traffic goes south anyway but it would be nice to connect to Edinburgh based CDNs
