It's hard to get the info on the number of wired (though virtual clients) that consumer routers will handle (I assume this is what you are asking)! Asus claim 253 clients, though that's not necessarily in a conventional /24 schema! I've a feeling that you may well need to be looking at Mikrotik, pFsense, Cisco, or possibly Ubiquity/Draytek, rather than the more common consumer brands!
