Replace router

I'm going to replace my Vodafone router with a tplink ac2100. 

Could anyone help me with what settings I have to change.

You'll need to get your username and password from support in the following format:

Mods: those are not my real id/pass so please engage brain rather than hitting delete!

On the TP-Link routers, if you have OpenReach FTTP that's all you'll need.  If you are on CityFibre you'll also need to set VLAN ID: 911

If you are on FTTC (broadband supplied over the phone line) you'll need a modem/router not just a plain router, and the VLAN ID would be 101

The Vodafone modem/router CANNOT be set to bridged mode and just used as a modem!

Hi thanks for the reply, just had a quick look. Where does the username  and password get emtered?

When you setup the router following the instructions that are supplied with it, you should be taken through a "quick setup" wizard that will take the details.  If not then you'll find in the Network > Intenet page!
