Hi All,
Hoping someone can help me.
I recently got the Vodafone Full Fibre 910 FTTP connection installed by Open Reach. I would like to use my own Asus router instead of the Powerhub dsl that Vodafone provided.
I've looked on the forum for pointers but am struggling to get my specific router to work. I've attached some screen shots of my settings but couple of things I'd like to check.
Is it DSL -ADSL WAN type I should be using, as this is the only one from the drop down list that allows me to add my VF broadband username and Broadband?
I have tried the following VLAN ID's (none i.e. 0, 901 and 101) but still not working. I did check with VF supports and they sent a standard text with my details and it said VLAN is not always needed. It says 901 at the end of that message but is that for City Fibre?
Also checked twice with VF support that I have the correct Username and Password. The Password is only 8 characters. I know in other posts that it's mentioned that it should be 9 characters?
Hoping I don't get stuck using the Powerhub, as the Wi-Fi signal is rubbish!
Thanks in advance for any help in resolving this.

I have the RT-AX88U and for the life of me I can't recall seeing that option in any of the WAN settings. Don't enable dual WAN unless you have a specific need.
Best bet, to keep it simple, is to reset the router and add your PPPoE settings in the setup wizard. Everything else should be automatic from there.

Thanks Ripshod, I did reset the router but It only gave me the advanced options when I tried it. I'll give it another reset in case I missed something.

Ah, the goalposts have moved. I've never tried setting a DSL router up, but if the WAN port is connected to the ONT then the Quick Internet Setup should see it and adjust accordingly.

I'm starting to think that this router isn't compatible Ripshod
So I used to have FTTC with Sky and I bought the AX82U at the time.
Open reach started to install the FTTP network and this is me just moving over.
The wizard won't let me pick the ISP type as it's looking for a dsl connection
Do you think I'm looking for a new router then?

@admin - Could the title be changed to Trying to use my existing ASUS DSL-AX82U Router please, as I am unable to edit it now and don't want to confuse folk Thanks

Take a look at this similar problem on the PlusNet forum.

Thanks Jayach for that link.
Defo similar problem and same router. If I use the DSL VDSL WAN option that is shown in the guys screen shot, I can't get the Account settings to appear so I can add in my Username and Password 😕
Only way I can get the Account settings to show is if I choose the DSL ADSL WAN.
Tried changing the Enable WAN settings to NO and Yes like it's mentioned on that post but still red light on the Internet connection 😢
