I am on Vodafone fibre so just under a year and no problems getting 10mbps but over the last 5 days I am getting terrible performance on YouTube on wifi on all devices. It either buffers, doesn’t play video and occasionally I get a period of a few minutes with no problems.
I have rebooted router and reset firmware and spoke to Vodafone but no solution. If I connect to mobile data all is good, and all other streaming video sites work fantastic and my wifi speed is always good. Any ideas?

I'm going to also ask for a discount. I don't expect anything to come from it but you're right - We're currently paying full price for an incredibly limited service.

I just want it fixed simply because it opens those with android products to security vulnerabilities.

Quick update from me - I messaged Vodafone support via Twitter, they wanted me to show them some videos of the issues. I uploaded one of YouTube spinning on my iPad, one of Google Play failing to update on my phone, and a couple of screen grabs on a Windows laptop showing connection errors in the Chrome Developer Tools that corresponded with videos failing to play on YouTube. I also pointed them to this thread and the growing number of irritated customers.
A helpful lady called Amy said they wanted to try me on a static IP. I just renewed the DHCP lease on my router (not a Vodafone router btw, it's Ubiquiti) and the static IP applied. First few quick tests after that and both YouTube and Google Play seem (fingers crossed) to be working fine.
They said they'd get back in touch on Saturday for an update. I'll keep an eye on the situation until then.

Interesting, there was another routing problem on here recently, and that was cured by getting a static IP.
It basically seems to give you different routing within Vodafone.

To further the investigation, I have a static public IPv4 address and am experiencing the problem.

For what little it is worth and speaking as an ex-VF customer, yesterday afternoon I had YouTube running for serveral hours and there were no instances of poor connection or delivery. I wonder if it's a problem internal to VF?

There is no doubt it is a VF issue.

It's not even confined to the whole of Vodafone. I, like I assume most of Vodafone's customers, have no problems with YouTube or Google play.
