I am on Vodafone fibre so just under a year and no problems getting 10mbps but over the last 5 days I am getting terrible performance on YouTube on wifi on all devices. It either buffers, doesn’t play video and occasionally I get a period of a few minutes with no problems.
I have rebooted router and reset firmware and spoke to Vodafone but no solution. If I connect to mobile data all is good, and all other streaming video sites work fantastic and my wifi speed is always good. Any ideas?

Bit of random clicking on videos this morning and Youtube seems much happier. Google Play updates also running smoothly without a VPN. No official word yet, but I suspect this problem has now been fixed.
Anyone else getting similar results?

YouTube videos are better....however Google Play updates still fail.

And patience. I've taken in large companies like this before, simply keep this thread going, tag them on Twitter VodafoneUK, the louder more people shout, the sooner they might start talking to us about what they are doing about the issue.

This issue has been driving me absolutely crazy.
For the last few weeks I have been unable to:
It seems to be routing issues specifically with Google servers. I tried to use Wireshark to see ANYTHING but all I can see is evidence of the TCP request / fullfillment taking an extremely long period of time.
VPN / mobile data for me works absolutely fine which further indicates it's a Vodafone problem.
I can't even begin to explain how frustrating it is trying to watch YouTube with this issue.

I've had more buffering issues with YT and issues getting any apps to update via the Play Store on multiple phones/tablets when connected to my Vodafone BB, in essence the issue is clearly something to do with Vodafone setup and no amount of router fiddling will change that.

Hi everyone, I’ve just caught up on the posts here and I’m sorry to hear the issues you’re all facing. I can see that some of you are using a Vodafone router and others aren’t. We’ll need the Vodafone router connected for us to investigate in detail what’s happening from our side.
Please can anyone who hasn’t yet contacted us through Social Media, reach out to us there. Please include a link to this post.

Hello Gemma,
I've no intention of wasting my time putting that pile of rubbish Vodafone router back on my system, it was so utterly useless it couldn't even check its own firmware for updates most times. I'll leave it to those that actually have it in place already and see if they actually get anywhere.
To me it seems Vodafone has done something to their backend hardware that is causing issues for users trying to get to Google services whether that be Play Store, YouTube, etc.
