I have had dlm intervene before and drop my connection slightly and apply interleave, however yesterday i noticed low download speeds and so i logged into my router page. I found that my line has gone from a sync of 69Mbps to a sync of 39,870 kbps, however my upload speed has stayed the same at 20,000kbps, my router page claims i had 8 cuts in what i can only assume were all within the same timeframe, which when worked out would have been monday at 4am, which is a bit strange.
My internet has been up for 5 days and 15 hours yet no dlm resync. the sync is a bit of a strange number and makes me think its banded, am i correct?

I'm not sure about banded, (is that even a thing on VDSL?) but DLM has definitely intervened and reduced your sync.
Give it a few more days and, as long as there are no more drops, DLM may bring it back up.
If not I doubt contacting Vodafone and asking for a DLM reset will do much good. (but you could try)
I think I would try leaving it off overnight and hope it resyncs higher the next morning.

Not 100% familiar with "Link power status: lo", but that kind of condition would also lead to the higher than expected SNR (signal to noise margin). If that's the case then it should show as an issue if you get the line tested.

I wouldn't worry about that, mine is the same (and no, I don't know what it means either) and I have a sync of 77.7Mbs. The OP's problem is that DLM has increased the SNR, presumably because of suspected line problems, Somehow he needs to get DLM to negotiate a new SNR and get his speed back.

According to Vodafone they tested my line and nothing came up as amiss, 8 drops within such a short space of time is a bit of a strange one, I actually had an engineer out a couple month ago as I was only getting 50Mpbs and the online checker said I could get over 70Mbps. They found an issue and fixed it, then my max attainable went from around 52Mbps to 72Mbps and now it’s lower again which I can only assume is due to dlm.
