is it possible to get fibre installed round the back of my house? my family has one in the front of the house and the fibre is coming off of the telephone pole not from underground so is it possible for openreach to run a fibre wire off the pole wrap it round the side of my house and put it in my room? underground and another connection to the front of the house wouldn't be an option

Depends on the engineer and how ahead they are on their worksheet. It's easy enough to run the fibre round a building (takes about 15 minutes extra), but if the engineer is running late they may not want to. I hope your engineer is having a good day 🤞

Whether you can run fiber to the back of your home depends on a variety of factors, including your existing telecommunications infrastructure, local regulations, and the policies of your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or the organization responsible for laying fiber, such as Openreach. Also, if you are thinking of [removed link] , you should be well prepared. And not all ISPs offer such options.

Are you saying there is already Vodafone full fibre supplied to the house. and you want a second fibre installed?
If that is the case, is it currently Openreach or CityFibre? Are both providers in your area or just the one? Are there any other altnets?
Also if a second fibre is installed, it will presumably be a brand new installation, so wouldn't necessarily be from Vodafone. (might be preferable to have a different ISP)
I don't think there will be many instances of double fibres to one house, although someone with separate business and personal lines comes to mind.
