I live in Newbury and was considering using Vodafone since they are headquartered in Newbury but I noticed not a single service provider has high speed internet, not even Vodafone. I don't understand why, I just want to be able to play some online games without getting ruined by high latency and packet loss. Can you guys please tell me a project is already underway to upgrade the cables in Newbury.

@NewburyNewSad are you taking about FTTP and not cellular 5g? FTTP infrastructure is mostly provided by Open Reach or City Fibre. If it's not there yet then there is nothing for VF to connect to.
The Open Reach website has information about the roll-out plans and I assume City Fibre must have the same.

Its not unusual, in Felixstowe just a few miles from BT's R&D site at Martlesham we only got FTTP in May this year. Years ago when I used to work there (on broadband among other things) they used to trial new products on staff living nearby. Then it got in the press and people said it was favouritism to BT managers and what about deprived areas. I don't know if thats why Vodafone don't, but it depends Openreach/CityFibre.
We had Openreach in May and now CityFibre are doing the same street. Like buses you wait ages and then 2 turn up together
Is the GurkaChef still there, my fav restaurant, I also worked in Newbury at Voda 😁
