Why is my broadband speed so slow?

Since my contract started in August 2020, I have constantly had this really slow speed, I opted for the Vodafone superfast 2 package "which offers a 80/20 service" with a minimum of 50mbps. Not once has a recieved even half of this. Even after numerous openreach engineer visits and numerous phone calls with vodafone, the issue still doesn't seem to be fixed. I am trying to find out the problems if it is my service or if it is the openreach line, and what I can do about it. In all honestly, all I want is the speed that I am paying for.

Please could someone explain these stats. Here are the stats that I pulled from the Vodafone router:

Any help or understanding would be greatly appericated :Smiling:

I look forward to anyones response

Whilst we wait for your pictures to be moderated (it could take some time), could you use the following link and post the results on here. (Obscure any personal details)

BT Broadband (btwholesale.com)

Hi Jayach, thanks for the response. Below are the stats that you asked me to grab from the website:

Your original pics have been moderated, so while we wait for the new one to be, I have some thoughts.

Your stats show your modem is getting the best from your line it currently can. (25 down/12 up)

Are you connected directly to the master socket? Do you have any extensions in use?

Could you try with the router in the test socket and repost the line quality stats.

Testing connection from the BT Master test telephone socket (adsl, broadband, bt, master, nte5, sock...

Unfortunately, I have already tried those troubleshooting methods, yet it still seems to be the same. Is there anything else that I can do because Vodafone nor Openreach are able to identify the problem.

Until we see what Openreach think your line capable of there is not much we can say.

However, were you previously with another supplier on this line? If so, what were you getting with them?

The Openreach checker results have now been moderated. They show you should expect approx. 50Mbs, with a handback figure of 35Mbs. If you are not getting that in the test socket, then Openreach should be fixing it.

All you can really do is to pressure Vodafone to get Openreach to fix it.

I keep pressuring VF but every time they invite an Openreach engineer to "fix the issue" which they said  "there isnt an issue". On top of that it is a major inconvenience towards me (to keep getting Openreach to come and fix an issue that they say there isn't) as I have to change my plans for them. Do you have any tips on what to say for them to fix it once and for all?

Not really, but they should not be saying there is no fault, if you aren't getting the "Handback" speed on their own checker. You could just try pointing that out to them.

Any idea how long till you get FTTP, have you spoken to your neighbours to see if they have similar problems?

Yeah, I have spoken to my neighbours, they are recieving the same issue as well. Speeds ranging from 33mbps to as low as 14mbps
