Confused about phone calls over full fibre broadband costs.

I am thinking of switching to Vodafone for my broadband and landline phone but I am confused about what is incuded in the package. I was looking at full fibre 150 Xtra  which states that anytime calls to landlines and mobiles are included. However, when I progress further with the order, it invites me to pay a further amount as an extra for anytime calls to landlines and mobiles. How is it that,  on one hand, it says they are included in the plan but then try to charge extra for the deal? Does it mean that I have to pay this amount if I want to use the phone at all? I have tried to contact someone on chat to explain this but I cannot get past the AI chat bot as all the customer service operators are busy.

Are you ticking the Vodafone Xtra box on the signup page?

Jayach Yes, which is where it says unlimited calls included but then, on the next page, it offers me unlimited calls as an extra to be paid for. That is why I'm confused.

It does say they are optional so just don't add them there. I suspect the page may just be badly coded and everyone gets the same options.

You should be given full details of what you are signing up for before you actually pay.

The point is that i do want them but it seems confusing if if he paying for them twice

You won't be paying twice, as long as you do not select the option on the second page.

Just check the price on the payment page is what you expect it to be.

I have just managed to sign up and did not have to pay twice. Thanks for any advice.
