We have an FTTC landline which we are advised should remain plugged into the master socket. However, since receiving our new Voda router three months ago that option did not work at all. Purchased a SOGEA adaptor, just in case, using which we can receive incoming but can't make outgoing. Does anyone have any solution to the problem. Many thanks..

You didn't have to buy a SOGEA adapter as Vodafone would of sent you one and it isn't a landline anymore it's a Voice over IP line (VOIP).
The only way to get it sorted is to call the Vodafone tech support team and give them the serial number of the router. They will then reconfigure it and add a new telephone profile to the router and also to possibly do a videocall to check the adapter is in the correct port.
I had the same problem when they converted my parents phoneline to VOIP.

VFbroadbanduser. Many thanks for coming back with a solution. Had great problems contacting VF as none of the links appeared active. After finally getting through this afternoon they did exactly as you suggested with the remote technofiddle , and - after plugging the SOGEA adaptor, which I had to buy as VF said FTTC phones couldn't use it so they didn't supply - the phone was working normally. Thanks again...

It really is unbelievable how little the Vodafone agents know about their own products..
