Just got FTTP and everything is working fine off the VF router. Phone lines are plugged into the VF router, VF router's WiFi is switched off. 3rd party Mesh has been switched to Bridge mode and plugged into the VF's ethernet port.
However I am shocked at how feature poor the VF router is. e.g. There are no Parental controls at all. I know I can get rid of the VF router and plug my own Mesh router into the Openreach ONT, but what about the Landline.
Are there any 3rd party routers in the market that have a telephone socket at the back to allow the home phone to be plugged in?

@Ripshod You really need to work on your issues as per why you try to pick unnecessary fights with people.
BTW, for your info, the BT Group own Openreach, which is why it is called BT Openreach.

Just for everyone else that may have been confused by bad information:
And just for the source of this bad info
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Openreach
"In March 2017, BT Group plc agreed to make Openreach a separate company, Openreach Limited, with its own staff and management,[37] but with the network assets continuing to be owned by BT plc for land-contract reasons, and with Openreach Limited being wholly owned by BT Group plc, BT plc's parent holding company. In July 2017, Openreach began removing the BT element from its logo, and in September 2017 Openreach removed BT branding from its website."

To be fair BT Openreach is a bit of a misnomer. More correctly it should be BT on Openreach, or over Openreach. Using the same convention as BT Vodafone could be Vodafone Openreach, or Vodafone Cityfibre.
But to assume the vodafone service on openreach uses the same settings as BT on openreach is wrong.
BT use BT servers, Vodafone use Vodafone servers. Openreach and Cityfibre just provide transmission, BT and Vodafone provide the product. Vodafone's VOIP settings for openreach and cityfibre are the same as Openreach and Cityfibre transmit the data to the same servers.

I can see two settings which are different to what worked for me (on BT Openreach):
Enable SIP Options/notify keep alive: Options
Use P-Access-Network-Info Header: Yes (this was a default setting)
In your configuration they are both set to NO.
This post has links to the original advice from those who first cracked this as well as the settings that worked for me and why https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Landline/Landline-phone-with-own-router-on-FTTP/m-p/2723154/highligh...
I would suggest going back to basics and check all of your set up carefully (including on your router).
Is anything odd here:

Changing to bridge mode made no difference, although changing the firmware update server info seemed to change things - I now have a flashing ethernet port!!!

I've tried sniffing for SIP packets with Wireshark and not seeing anything. No UDP packets. Nothing to port 5065. Do I have a faulty HT801?
No fighting please 😁

Does your router support port mirroring, or are you connected via a hub to the HT801?
Otherwise you may not see traffic not destined for your host on the port you are connected to, as a switch may not repeat the traffic to/from other hosts for the HT801.

I've sniffed just on the MAC address. I can see tcp and http traffic. Yes my ht801 is connected directly to the router as is my laptop.
