Hi. My parents landline (based in Ireland) cannot seem to get through to any UK Vodafone number. Their landline provider has advised there may be a Vodafone routing problem, after swapping out the Line Interface with no success. Their number is not blocked on my device and other Irish landlines can get through. Every time they dial a Vodafone UK number they get an engaged tone.

You parents are going to need to persists taking this up with their service provider in Ireland here : Vodafone Ireland Support , it's a Vodafone Ireland service and they will need to complete all the necessary investigations on behalf of your parents. Vodafone Ireland is a separate company to Vodafone UK and can't look into a Vodafone Ireland fault.

The OP never said their parents are on Vodafone, in fact I get the impression they are not.

Thanks, that is correct. They are with Eircom for landline. They can get through to all other UK numbers and mobile providers but specifically not any Vodafone UK numbers. Their provider is insisting (after numerous technical checks on their line) that it is a Vodafone UK routing issue.
