Hi there I’m looking to register my dongle and it’s not accepting the Vodaphone number?

You don't mention if you are PAYG or contract.
Have you made a connection to the internet using the dongle? The SIM will activate when you have made a connection to the internet, unless the SIM has been activated, you would be unable to register the dongle number.
You should see the security code to register the account as a pop up on the PC dashboard and it should be pretty well straight forward.

The internet is working perfectly well and its set up fine. Its a dongle i received from work with 2 years data. I was told to register it and cant seem to do. Theres no pop up and when trying to set up a vodaphone account and entering the vodaphone number from the sim card, it says im not eligible for this service.

It sounds like the SIM may already be registered, most probably to your employer. If the SIM was purchased online, it would have been necessary to set up an account in readiness for when the dongle had been received.
IF you go back to your employer, they may be able to give you the details.
