5g ultra symbol on phone?

I just been told by text that my phone is now 5g ultra compatable (pixel 8 pro ). And indeed on the website for pay monthly phones it shows pixel 8 pro as being 5g ultra compatable. 

1st question. How can I tell it's using the 5G standalone network?

2. Does it need new network settings for it to work as I not received any .

3. Does the phone show any inclination it's running on it as at moment it shows 5g , will it not be 5g +?

Go to phone settings, about phone, status information, sim card status, and look at "Mobile Data Network Type" it will state either NR NSA (Regular 5G) or NR SA (5G Ultra).
