Appalling Roaming Capability

We are roaming with 2 Vodafone business phones (Galaxy 23 Ultra) and one O2 business phone (Apple).

We have had nothing but issue with the Vodafone phones not connecting, having only H or H+ data connectivity, and the connection dropping out continually.

Vodafone support made us move both phones to eSIMs, saying it was an issue with our very old SIM cards. That has potentially improved connection reliability, but has done nothing for the poor data connection.

The O2 (Apple) phone shows 4G virtually continually, while both S23 Ultra Vodafone phones rarely get better than H+.

Have tried to get further Vodafone support, but it is next to impossible.

It says we should have Business Prime support, but I cannot start to work out how to make contact. And using TOBi is just an exercise in total frustration!

Why are we having such issues Roaming, when we pay for the service?

Hi @Eugene7 sorry to hear you've been facing some trouble. Have you tried manually selecting the roaming network to see if this improves things? This can be actioned via Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Uncheck select automatically > Manually select the required network. I have spent hours on Chat with Vodafone over the past 2 weeks. We have tried EVERYTHING.

We were promised as escalation to a higher-level technical support team 3 days ago - nothing has happened.

I tried to chase Vodafone again today, and for stuck back in the same loop, as no-one at Vodafone had bothered to read the previous Chat messages!

Absolutely appalling support.

I guess time to change service providers, as the O2 phone we also have worhbus has suffered no such issues.

We have been unable to rely on the Vodafone phones for Roaming at all - making them non-viable for our business uae.

So for 5 weeks both our business phones have had major ongoing issues with Roaming - sometimes working, most of the time not.

I have spent HOURS on Chats and calls with Support, and nothing has worked. Even sending SMS messages fails more often than not, although receiving seems ok.

And today Roaming has died totally - no calls, data, nothing! And it seems this may be a network-wide issue affecting all Vodafone Roaming.

Really think it's time to look for a different business mobile provider!
