Our company's website blocked

akirapix
4: Newbie

Good Morning,

like many users in this forum are complaining, our company's website has been blocked by Vodafone.

Same problem seen in forum. allot.com breaking SSL handshake through Vodafone mobile connection.

No way to have a technical conversation with Vodafone to understand, at least, why this issue is happening.

Our domain is: www.fyberloom.com

From my mobile i can clearly see this:

No need to say this is a very bad problem. Our reputation has been hit by this issue

Need a reply ASAP

Thank you for sending over the requested screenshot, it's very much appreciated @akirapix. As this is the Vodafone UK Community, I was required to translate your screenshot. Nonetheless, I've tested the URL and my results conclude that it isn't just Vodafone users that are unable to access your website, it is also users from other network providers - I've also tested this on the Sky network.

The above being said, although this issue also occurs on other networks, I've raised this to our Network team under the reference number INC000005035634 so that we can take a closer look. Once we receive a response we'll let you know as soon as possible.

Hi,

we were not aware our website is blocked by other ISPs. We tested here in Italy (with Telecom) and with some LTE in San Francisco and had no problems.

Thank you for you help. We appreciate

You can clearly see Vodafone is blocking traffic. If you expand "details" and look for certificate you will see an allot.com certificate (not our certificate)

Thanks for your patience @akirapix We've had an update from our network team and they've confirmed that we aren't blocking your website. They've further advised that this is likely to be a certificate issue or an issue with the browser, as indicated by the “Your connection is not private” (translated) error. It can help to clear your cache and cookies, or go incognito, but as this isn't an issue caused by us you'll need to investigate it further from your side. If you've got any questions please let me know.

Hi @Janey ,

i have to insist. It is Vodafone.

I used my mobile in tethering and *every* browser says:

Schermata 2024-01-05 alle 10.54.59.png

the output is different from the one i get from iOS browser but the meaning is still the same

Then i tried to use cURL from command line (to exclude browser):

on Vodafone network (while tethering)

Schermata 2024-01-05 alle 10.56.46.png

you can see allot.com placed insted of my GoDaddy certificate

if i switch back to Telecom Italy

Schermata 2024-01-05 alle 10.57.51.png

now you can see the correct certification authority

googling around you can find advertisement like this one:

Schermata 2024-01-05 alle 10.58.57.png

Vodafone claims it uses allot.com for browsing safety

So i kindly ask to speak with technical team or to solve as soon as possible this issue

There are many threads on this forum about website blocked by Vodafone, with the same error.

Each problem has been solved by Vodafone reclassification of the unreachable website. And everyone has solved

Thanks @akirapix We can only go by what our technical teams are already advising us. Nonetheless, I've sent over the the further information you provided so they can look into this further. Once we have an update, we'll let you know.

Thank you @Janey ,

i followed almost every thread on this forum claiming the same problem. I see Vodafone always solved with a website reclassification.

Hope to hear you soon

I completely understand your frustration @akirapix and I assure you we're doing everything we can to help. After investigating further our team have advised that Vodafone is blocking your site, but it's not Vodafone UK. Based on the screenshots you've sent, it's likely to be Vodafone Italy. At Vodafone UK, we have the site classified as 'computing' so there's no reason for us to bar it. We've also tested fyberloom.com on a SecureNet enabled handset and we've been allowed access. The site needs to be reclassified in Italy; rest assured we'll continue to look into this further to see if we can get your site reclassified with our Italian counterparts. Just be aware that since we're Vodafone UK, it's not guaranteed that we're able to fix this. We'll always work to do as much as we can though! As soon as we know more, you'll be the first to know.
