Hello...
When are VF going to upgrade the data capacity of the signal here, every year during peak season when this village is busy (Bunn Leisure Caravan Site) the data is practically unusable! Good 4g signal with pathetic throughput!
Thanks Gary.

@garymac108 The network troubleshooting steps will allow us to begin to investigate the slow speeds in the area for you. The answers will help us to determine what may be causing the issue and whether we need to raise a case with our engineers. We'll be unable to do this until the answers are provided.
Please pop these over to us and we can continue to look into this 😊

I know this is almost 3 years old, but it hasn't been sorted out yet. In fact, it's not Vodafone's problem, but BT Openreach's. I'm with Voxi, which runs on Vodafone, and also have really slow speeds during most of the year when holidaymakers come to Bunn Leisure, and the same happens to all my colleagues that are on other networks.
Now, I would directly contact BT Openreach, but according to their website they won't answer me and instead they request we reach our service provider so that it can reach BT Openreach. So that's what I'm asking here. As a Voxi client, which runs on Vodafone, can you please contact BT Openreach? Either the total bandwidth needs to be raised, but if not possible then one or more masts need to be added around the area.
This isn't just in terms of phone speeds, but also home broadband. Selsey is a joke in terms of it all. But that's another story for another thread.

I'm not able to do so. I have no social media accounts nor do I want to create any.

@Anonuser We also have teams available on livechat and 191 (from your Vodafone number) or 0808 040 8408 (from an alterative number).
So that we can get started on looking into the network in your area could you complete our initial network checks please?

1) Does the issue happen in just one location? If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service?
It happens mostly in the vicinity of Bunn Leisure, but for decent speeds one has to leave Selsey.
2) What is the full postcode (e.g. ST1 1AA) of where the issue occurs? If you don't want this showing on the Community, add it to your profile here.
PO20 9DR is one of them, but there's multiple, since holidaymakers stay in town too.
3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone?
Yes.
4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs?
Really slow internet speed. It goes as low as 50Kbps and does not exceed 1Mbps.
5) Does this happen on 2G, 3G, 4G or all?
All.
6) When did you first notice this issue?
Since I moved to Selsey, so 4 years ago.
7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs?
Intermittent. Usually from around 8:30 to 22 o'clock for 7 or 8 months, but it's more noticeable during school holidays and bank holidays.

Hi @Anonuser I've taken a look into your local network and we've no issues in your area at this time, the mast serving you (6725), is working as expected and has experienced no recent outages. I can see you've mentioned this happens in numerous locations. This could indicate the issue is connected to your phone or SIM as these are the common factors in all of your connections. I can also see you've also advised this issue continues when you pop your SIM into another phone. This again points to the issue possibly being connected to the SIM.
If possible, could you pop another SIM in your phone and let us know if issue continues. If you could also confirm the full postcode of any other locations you experience these issues and we'll be able to check which cell these connections are made through, which will also help us identify where the issue lies.

For the last time, it's not me, my phone or my sim. The same thing happens to everyone I know in Selsey in multiple different phones and in multiple different providers, all at the same times of the day and the year. It happened when I was on O2 and then on giffgaff. How hard is it to understand this?
As I said already, this is a problem on BT Openreach's end and therefore one or more providers need to contact them, since we commoners will me disregarded.

@Anonuser I've taken a look at the postcode provided and the coverage is patchy for 3G and 4G surrounding central Selsey, near the coast is good coverage then as you go further inland the coverage become less reliable. I've also taken a look at the specific mast you connect to (No. 6725) and there are no known issues. This suggests the issues you’re experiencing are due to general coverage rather than a network fault.
If you've got Wi-Fi connection at home, you can use Wi-Fi calling and texting to keep in contact with people if you’re in an area with poor coverage. For more information on Wi-Fi Calling and how to set it up: https://vodafone.uk/WiFiCalling
We’re always looking to improve our coverage across the UK and you can monitor any planned improvements or maintenance in your postcode through our Network Status Checker: www.vodafone.co.uk/nsc.
