Considering they've now got a social discussion area on the forum figured I might try and start a thread
What old phones do you still have a soft spot for even if you wouldn't be seen dead carrying them down the street anymore?
Sharp GX 25 is still a favourite of mine from late 2004 back when Vodafone still carried Sharp as a manufacturer. There was also a red limited addition Ferarri version. Really sturdy and reliable phone but you had to live with just 3MB internal memory at the time - almost unheard of now. There were lots of shoddy flip phones on the market back then where the connectors weren't secure and the screen would often die a death and lose contact with the battery and keypad - this one never failed
Next up the Sony Ericsson W900i walkman phone. I remember having the white version of this towards the end of 2005, mainly because of the huge amount of internal memory it carried at the time - just short of 500MB with a card slot taking it up to 4GB. Certainly the top Ericsson walkman phone at one point and a bit different with the 'swivel' flip screen. Had Mobile TV as a subscription on my contract with this one (around the time of the big 3G push) although looking back it never really did take off.
Any other mobile memories out there?

Yep, AnnS and JohnA have got it!
To be specific, that's the MCA-20. Yes John, it was VGA quality as standard, and could store a whopping 14 shots at that quality, or over 200 at QQVGA quality which was even worse.
I seem to remember it cost at least £100 when I bought mine.
I absolutely loved the T68i, although I do remember I had more than one of them during my contract tenure due to issues.

Motorola V525
This was my first contract phone.
At the time I was in America a lot, so Quad band was a must! This was one of the few phones that had that feature.
The Camera although small by today's standards had 4X zoom.
With the stubby aerial you could get a signal anywhere.
SMS was great on this phone as it would predict words and insert them for you, I really liked that feature.
I kept and used this phone for three years! It served me well... :smileyhappy:

While moving house i found these from my days of working in Voda, think it dates me a little.
There were others, the worst memory was programming Analogue phones for a Christmas release of the first ever 'Pay as you Talk'. Ericsson Hotlines i believe
Yes, im old. Good times though, new phones were released every 6 months and were something to look forward too, unlike now where they come out every second wednesday.
I wonder if the old phones are worth anything....

Memory's memory's.......Motorola 4800X was my first company phone when I was working for Wang and was on call out...
I was called 3 nights in a row about 3am and my wife picked it up and lobbed it out the window which would'nt have been so bad but we lived in a maisonette 4 floors high........I had some explaining to do when I took it back....I told them I was just checking the doors to the MK111 escort van and had left it buy the drivers door when a bin lorry drove over it....well I never got my pay rise haha!!!!
My PH388 was a brilliant phone and my company Unidata brought 50 for the management and as I was the warehouse manager I was the daddy....lol we all used to swagger around like we owned the place... 😉
Phones I had>>>> T10-T16-T28-T68i ( Colour screen wow Nokia 7110 ( fell out my pocket on my motorcycle and was crushed ) Sharp GX25 ( again out my pocket at about 100mph ) did not get it back...P800 brilliant phone with my first traffic warning sytem...paid £500 cash and then my son had it a year later and he was running on ice and slipped over and pop went the screen..
Then Nokia's ever since 6600 6680 N95 ( N96 last seen being used to set of bombs no doubt ) HTC HD2 ( sent it back ) Samsung S
