I received my final Vodafone bill of £110.68 on the 1st January 2025 requesting it to be paid by the 15th January 2025. I contacted Vodafone & paid the bill in full on the 10th January 2025 & I was told my account had been satisfied. This is confirmed on my bank statement also. I received a letter today (16th January 2025) saying my account has been cancelled, I have a default on my credit file & my debt has been transferred to a collections agency. I contacted the collections agency immediately & they said my account has been settled. I was told to contact Vodafone who I have but the trauma of doing this as a ex customer is unbelievable & after 45 minutes of waiting was told they couldn’t help. Who do I contact to ask to have the default removed please?

The Social Team will certainly be able to get you in contact with the credit file department.
To clarify you cancelled the contract and received the cancellation confirmation from Vodafone?
