UK Call Centres

Hi.

Can anyone tell me if Vodafone have UK based call centres or a UK based online chat team?

I have been trying to get some help with my Vodafone broadband but the service I've received from the India based centre has been beyond awful.

They are clearly just reading from scripts and have no idea how to solve any issues.

I thought most companies had done away with foreign based contact centres because of the infamously bad service they offer but it seems Vodafone are still using them.

Is there a UK contact number or a separate online chat team I can get in touch with?

Thank you.

@Amanda Where you say you may get the same training I very much doubt that you are in the same league, or at least I hope you are not if you have the same level that myself and all that have commented not jsut on here but the thousands of complaints that have been issued then Vodafone are in for a quick decline! how do I speak to a UK based English speaking customer service representative? I do not have social media so that's not an option!

@rogercackett

I left Vodafone in Mid March and went to Plus Net and it's the best thing I could have done.

The last straw came when I called Vodafone for the 100th time about our broadband dropping out which had been happening for years.

It had dropped out for the 4th time that day and the guy I spoke to said 'internet dropping 4 times a day isn't that bad is it'? That's when I realised they don't care and don't have faith in their own product so why should I?

As for Vodafone's response to use their Messenger service I can confirm this is truly awful. They ask all their security questions and then start to chat, then you don't hear anything for hours. When you chase them for a response you get someone else saying I'm now taking this case on and they ask all their security questions all over again before ignoring any further messages you send. This just goes on and on.

I actually just checked my Messenger messages to Vodafone and I can see that I was trying to get the same issue sorted for 4 months over 26 separate conversations where they just stopped responding.

Plus Net have UK call centres with people who actually understand what you're talking about and my Broadband hasn't dropped since.

I too recommend switching providers.

one year and a half on from your post and nothings changed with vodafone...I'm having the same trouble... had chats with 3 different people, 3 security checks...line checked 3 times...ticket put forward for fault...2 phone calls on my mobile   from some asian sounding person that I couldn't hear or understand, can't wait for my contract to end so I can change my provider

I have just registered my self on here to add to this! I have now jsut upgraded to full fibre its been an ordeal! now I'm in a locked argument with Vodafone operatives who can not understand basic instructions, UK law or legislation and ignore you. I asked 5 times to be put through to complaints and I was ignored! I have then had them call me back ask for 2 numbers from my pin, then the phones gone dead and they have contacted me back asking for the other 2 and I have told them not a chance and ended up hanging up on them they owe we over £720 in compensation for waiting over 4 months since my initial install date and are trying to charge me £10 a month over the current price. the email they even sent had a download link to their current pricing structure and its shows the package I got at £10 less!

Hey @Mgsl31 I can certainly appreciate how frustrating this must be and I am sorry for the way this has been handled. If you pop us a message on social media here we can raise the complaint for you and look into the issues you've been having.

@Effie Hi, I do not have a social media account nor do I want one. what other methods of contact are there?

That's completely understandable @Mgsl31 I know not everyone does or wants to use social media! You can pop a message to the LiveChat team here as they can also raise the complaint for you. Alternatively as you've tried over the phone, you can fill out the Complaints form and a member of the Complaints team will contact you to discuss it further.

@Effie unfortunately these are the same avenues I have frustratingly tired where the only people I speak to or converse with are in India! I have filed in a complaints form. Then received a call from, again someone based in India, and the above comments regarding requesting for my digits in my pin etc. happened so that's when I can on here to see if there was a way to speak to someone who can actually think beyond a crib sheet and also can understand me and me them!

I am sorry that there isn't more we can do @Mgsl31 The forum is more a space for general queries and advice and the mods have no account access here so we have to direct customers with account specific issues and complaints into the support channels as we are very limited on what we can do here. We would need you to try again via LiveChat or over the phone as you have no social media accounts so this can all be looked into.

@Effie Looks like I will cancelling my phone and broadband with yourselves as well as my fathers broadband and phone then. I will take the advice from another poster here and move over to Plus net. seems to be an all round better service!
