Hi. I have a fast, working gigafast connection using the supplied VF router. However, it is missing some functionality that I require for home users, eg DNS settings via DHCP server, plus a load of stuff I can't do for work, such as vlans.
I have tried to configure my old Draytek 2950n which has a wan side connection via ethernet. Plugged it into CPE, entered the PPOE username and password. But getting 'no response from server'. Have tried vlan 101 and 2000 but same result. Anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks
Solved! Go to best answer.

3rd line have come through with some additional and essential info! Need to be on vlan 911 to get a connection.

Did you try with vlan 911, this is was my main issue

Yes, vlan 911.
I am on Aberdeen Gigafast so not sure if that makes a difference.
The settings I used were exactly what I tried months ago and it never connected after numerous attempts.
I can only think something has changed Vodafone's end or possibly the latest Asus Merlin firmware made the difference.

Hi, sorry I know this is an old thread. I'm also in MK and with Vodafone Giga fibre Bb, however the past few days I have had great speeds and I'm connected WiFi and ethernet, my issue is I can't open webpages on any device. I've been into the Vf router and DSL settings are inactive. All I would like to know is by default can you confirm whether this should be as in images or whether this should have info here and could be the cause why I can't open webpages? All was working up until Wednesday, Thanks

If you are on FTTP/Gigafast then you are not using any xDSL type of connection and those settings should indeed be inactive. Having no internet access at all I'd suggest you contact customer services.

Hey, thanks for getting back to me. OK thanks for that, I've got an Internet connection and great speeds but none of the devices on WiFi or ethernet will open webpages it just says not responding but youtube and streaming apps work fine

Hi
I have the same issue, trying to obtain the PPPOE settings from Vodafone is proving to be a nightmare, do you have their tech support email address - I want to use our Draytek 2860 device - the vlan id as we are using cityfibre is 911 I believe
