Adding 2.4ghz devices to new router

I have a VCNT-I running firmware 19.4.0551-3261103

I have various smart devices that connect to the network on 2.4ghz.

As far as I can see I can't force the router into using 2.4ghz mode. If anyone can help with this it would be greatly appreciated

Are you on Pro, I think they may have removed the option on there. If not:Jayach_0-1648306744403.png

Thanks for the quick reply. I am on Pro, which means the options you've shown aren't available to me.

When I first plugged the router in (before the line was installed) I was using the 4g dongle. I was able to split the SSID to both 5ghz and 2.4ghz, which was perfect. But since the service went live I guess they updated the firmware on my router and this option was removed.

I did manage to find a rather cumbersome workaround. I setup a mobile hotspot on my wife's phone with the same SSID and password. When I connected with my phone I was able to install some of the devices to the network, but some of them would not connect no matter what I tried.

I have the same problem now in Nov 2024. Do you have any suggestions on how to solve this as I have a doorbell that will only work on 2.4ghz and I cant force it to connect at that range due to the Broadband Hub always using 5Ghz. You used to be able to configure this on the smart phone or the router now you cant which is a real pain.

@RaymondTheBrave Get a 2.4GHz access point.

By the way, the person you are replying to hasn't been active since March 2022.
