Is it true that I can have 5G home broadband just by switching mode on my router as advisor told me? I thought I had to have a Huawei cube router thing.
Solved! Go to best answer.

Also I found this YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bF9o33oJkf8
And I think this is the manual for it https://media.s-bol.com/Y78oROPGWVDn/original.pdf, which .if it is. the first connection to the camera needs to be to it's Wi-Fi hotspot.

In the description under Essential details it says it's 2.4GHz, but later it says it's 2.4/5Ghz so still not sure.
So I will assume it's 2.4Ghz only, in which case. you have the same problem that is reported on here many times.
Basically the problem is the phone doing the setup has to be on the same Wi-Fi band as the camera (i.e. 2,4Ghz) but the phone has connected to the 5Ghz.
As you have the THG3000, and assuming you don't have the boosters, one way to force them on the same band would be to split the bands temporarily, so If you can give that a try first.
Be aware that option is removed from the router if it is using "Super Wi-Fi"

Thank you so much Jayach for taking the time to help me. Those are the bulbs exactly and I have now managed to connect them to my wifi. I really appreciate your help. I shall never bother ringing or chatting with Vodafone again as you guys really know what you talking about.
Thanks again from a slightly less muddled Teresa😁
