Hi,
New vodafone broadband customer here and I am a little confused with how the first billing works even after reading the article from the website on it.
I am on the Fibre 2 package for 22pounds (sim contract discounted). I am on direct debit and is always taken on the 10th of every month.
My activation date was on the 20th of August and my first billing just came today (1st of September) and is a total of 29.81. I believe 7.81 of that is to cover the dates between activation date to start of billing month? And the 22 is an advance payment for September bill (which would've been taken out on the 10th of October if not for the advance payment)?
Now I am seeing a new future bill to be created on the 1st of October of the normal 22pounds which I expect to be taken out on the 10th of October but won't that have already been paid for in advance (from the 10th of September collection)?
I've always thought the collected payment date (10th of every month) is for the previous the month bill. Can someone clear this up for me as I am to think I am being billed double the amount

Hey @JPag14 We always bill you in advance for services. so the bill you received on 1 September is for the period up to 1st October. The bill on the first of October is for the period up to the 1st November and so on.
We collect payment of the bill 10 days later By Direct Debit. Hope this clears everything up, but if you need anymore information about your bills and payments, pop us a message via one of our social channels and we'll be happy to double check on your account and confirm it for you.

Or have I had it all wrong and the bill received on the first of every month (and direct debit payment collection on the 10th) is the actual bill of that month paid?

Okay that makes sense thanks for the clarification, the billing date on the vodafone mobile app main menu makes it very confusing so I should disregard that and look on the actual website. (Shows my next upcoming monthly charge of 22.00 from: 30 Aug to 29 Sep)
