Anyone else not received their Ring Doorbell?

I visited my local Vodafone Shop on 06 Jan 23 and signed up to Home Broadband and with it came a free Ring Doorbell offer. The advice at the time was that I would receive a text in a few days with the code for the offer. After a month I called customer services (a mission in itself) and was advised that the code would be with me after 30 days from the go-live date. I called today, and again after navigating the customer service system spoke to someone who said it would now be 90days. I requested a call back by a manager who suggested it was a third party offer and not something Vodafone would honour so I corrected her and said it was in a Vodafone shop. She told me to go and see them to resolve the matter. I suggested she might speak to them and get back to me but apparently not something customer 'services' offer. So I am in limbo and have to put up with people knocking on my door like its the 1800s!?

Any advice welcomed before I go into the shop without the luxury of being able to hang up if they, like the customer services manager, try to speak over me repeatedly.

@JG1981 Have you contacted our Social Media team to be able to chase this for you if you've not received the confirmation emails through?

I've messaged them on Instagram and had no response

Here's some advice to help you resolve the issue:

  1. Bring documentation: Make sure you have any relevant documents with you, such as your contract or receipt from the Vodafone shop, to support your claim regarding the free Ring Doorbell offer.

  2. Remain calm and assertive: When discussing the matter with the shop staff, stay calm and assertive. Clearly explain the situation and present your case, emphasizing the promises made to you during your visit to the shop.

  3. Ask for a manager: If the shop staff is unable to resolve the issue, politely ask to speak to a manager. Explain the problem again and provide any evidence you have to support your claim. Managers often have more authority to resolve such matters.

  4. Escalate the complaint: If the shop staff or manager is still unhelpful, consider escalating your complaint to Vodafone's customer service department. Explain the situation, the lack of resolution at the shop level, and request their assistance in resolving the matter.

  5. Social media or online forums: If all else fails, you can try reaching out to Vodafone through their official social media channels or online forums. Companies often monitor these platforms and may be more responsive to public complaints.

Remember to remain polite and persistent throughout the process. Good luck with resolving the issue and getting your free Ring Doorbell offer!

Looks like we have another copy/paste hero that's found ChatGPT, in this and another three threads. Mods, watch for the links.

I did wonder how someone could type all those details in such a small amount of time. I never thought about chatGPT.
