I have had a bit of a move around within the house and I now need a slightly longer cable to go from the phone socket connector to my Vodafone router - can I get one and what do I look for (totally un-technical person here!)

you can get the ADSL cable in any length, but keep it as short as possible, longer cables will make your internet slower and worse for interference, a computer shop can make you one to length or buy one from Amazon, eBay, Argos do a 5meter one, Wilko does a 3meter one. even think Poundland do one as well

Thank you. Do I have to search for something specific on Amazon?
sorry to be so thick but I’m not great with IT stuff

Hi
To supplement the excellent answers so far......
You need a twisted cable for preference, DOUBLE check the 'plugs' at each end as some may be unsuitable for the BT/Openreach socket.
