Can I use a 2nd hand Vodafone Wifi Hub?

Hello

 

My Inlaws have Vodafone home Broadband with a Vodafone router about 2-3 years old, I have the latest Vodafone Wifi hub (my brother didn't need it).

 

Can I simply plug the latest hub into my Inlaws house or does it require additional help from Vodafone support?

Depends on what hubs you have, there are 2 different hubs currently, the THG3000 and the Ultra Hub for Pro II.

Which do the In-laws have, is it the HHG2500?

You're correct, they've currently got the HHG2500 and I've got a THG3000 which I want them to have instead.

Indeed. A "case of suck it and see". I see no reason why it won't work, however it may have some strange behaviour on the Wi-Fi set up, depending on if it configures itself for Pro or not.
