Had my Vodafone broadband installed/activated today; so far so good on the actual internet connection side of things - getting a good speed both up and down.
I have a full wired network through my property with several static IP devices and I've reconfigured the TNG3000 to use my LAN IP range (rather than change all the devices) and that appears to have worked OK. I will tackle the port forwarding another day as it appears to be a pain (from other posts!)
So I then went to change the WiFi settings (the router is bugging me to change the password as it's still the default and I actually want to use a meaningful SSID) but everything I try to change (actually, it happens even when I don't try to change something) I get a message that says 'Your changes have not been updated' and then the page refreshes. This is obviously not acceptable!
Firmware is 19.2.0307-3261013 and apparently there is nothing newer available (actually it tells me something went wrong rather than there is no update).
So, how do I fix my WiFi? Anyone got any ideas? Or is this the standard I should expect from this massive chunk of hardware?
Cheers

Your firmware is later than mine which is 19.2.0203-3261005 but I also get "something went wrong" when I try to update. After making changes you do have to scroll down to the bottom of the page and press apply. Are you able to do that or does it refresh too soon?

Exact same firmware, exact same problem.
Impossible to change anything on the 'General' tab in Wifi, really not a great first impression guys.
Edit: Switch browser, or use your iphone. Working fine on IE.

I came back to say I'd had the same revelation about browser - I was using Firefox (latest) and it just wasn't playing ball, so I tried Edge and it worked fine.
Not the best start to my Vodafone journey - I hope the rest of my 24 month contract is 100% problem free (I feel that it won't be!)

Just to add - same here using Linux: wouldn't work on Firefox, but worked on Brave browser. Seems to just be Firefox at moment, so tend to think this'll get sorted soon.

Sidewinder is correct. I found this thread because I was having the exact same problem (I am a Firefox user). I opened Safari and was able to change the password and Wifi name no problem.

Using a different browser, I.E worked for me too. I couldn't change the settings using firefox, only the passwords, no turn wifi on or off, or change the SSID
Thanks for the advice 🙂

I find this thread strange as I use Firefox as my browser of choice and have no problems accessing the Vodafone router.
I wonder what the difference is for those users who do have problems?

The various browsers are, in their own way, moving away from "HTTPS first, fall-back to HTTP" to "never HTTP". A lot of routers admin screens are still served over HTTP. Some do allow an over-ride of this.

Yes, accessing the router with firefox was fine for me, and changing the passwords also. But when it came to changing the SSID or turning the wifi on or off firefox did not allow this. Very strange indeed 🙄 lol
