Connecting 2.4Ghz switches and lamps to Full Fibre Network

I wonder whether anyone can help on the above topic

Since joining Vodafone Broadband in April last year,  the company have sent me 3 lots of routers.

The first two routers had the provision in the Vodafone Gateway on my computer to switch from 5 GHz bandwidth to 2.4 GHZ which enabled me pair the apps on my phone with the switches for my lights. When I upgraded to Full Fibre in January I had enormous problems with the network and Vodafone sent me a third router to try and resolve the problem. (it didn't because the problem lay with City Fibre not Vodafone)

My problem is that there is no provision in the Vodafone Gateway for switching from 5GHZ to 2.4 GHZ with this new router, which I understand is Vodafone's latest model

It does have 3 options which are the main network, guest network and prime network but none of them are dedicated 2.4 GHZ channels. Vodafone have told me that if I enable the compatible button on the Gateway page this enables switches to pick up the 2.4 GHZ bandwidth as this channel has dual bandwidth. However having spent many hours talking top Vodafone technical advisors I have been unable to pair the app on my mobile to the switch. I did have the brainwave this afternoon of changing the bandwidth on my phone to 2.4 Ghz but alas this did not work.

Has anyone experienced this problem with Vodafone's latest router and overcome it? Or has anyone any ideas of what I can do next?

thank you

Richard
