Hi @Jonesy78, what's happening when you're trying to connect the device to the Vodafone router? Are all your other devices connected and working with the broadband?

Hi Mark
all other devices are fine no issues.

the firestick sees the router,  I type in password and it cycles as if connecting then shows up failed with a message saying it could not connect to Amazon.Co.uk please try another router or WiFi connection

Thanks for that information @Jonesy78. Has the device been connected to any other broadband services or routers previously? On the Amazon Help and Customer Services pages, there are some useful steps to try if the device won't connect, have you seen this page and followed the steps?

Thanks Mark no hasn’t been connected to anything else is straight out the box, I’ll have a look again on the Amazon help see if it can help.
thanks

It may be a channel thing. Elsewhere I have read that on 5HGz it only "sees" channels 36-48 and also it may not see 12-13 on 2.5GHz. If you can find out what channels your router is broadcasting on it may be possible to rule this out.

You can see what channels it is using under the Status & Support tab in the router interface.

Thanks for your help, I  got on the phone to tech support in the end and after a few reboots and a reset it finally connected
