I have just upgraded my broadband and adding back in my devices , my HP printer won’t connect as the MAC filter is on , on my broadband settings . I either need to turn the MAC filter off or add the MAC addresss of my printer in so it works . Where do I find these settings to do this ?

If you haven't set up MAC filtering, it won't be on. It's pretty stupid that the printers always suggest that.

Have you tried the WPS option?

Hi Jayach,

Yes. I went through most things with chat support, The tech i spoke to said to give compatability mode 24hrs... I think he had given up.

Thanks

I think you are right. It's either on or not.

Presumably after turning it on you were trying to connect to the new Wi-Fi it created?

Hi Polly. Did you get anywhere with this? I have exactly the same issue with an older HP printer. I could not see an answer in the replies. Many thanks!

Hi Andrew,

No, nothing yet. When i have time I'll call vodafone directly. If we get a solution I'll post

I'm having the same problem with my HPEnvy 5532 as well. Is there a solution?

Mine is fixed, I called the customer service who talked me though it and using the "pair" button on the router admin page it connected

Had this exact same problem. Make sure your compatibility settings are on in your broadband app. Press the WPN button on your new router and on your printer to pair both, then go to your wifi settings on printer (mine was in wifi set up wizard) find your network and then enter your wifi password. It should then link. No MAC filters on unless you've put them on. Its just what the printer suggests!

Hope this helps someone!
