Hello,
I moved to a new flat, and i have the openreach ont and a socket next to it with a diferent plug than the normal rj45.
I have have the same plug on the top floor next where the tv going to be.
My question is, how do i do the connections so i can use the socket where the tv going to be so i can have it connected by cable instead of wifi?
Thank you for help.
Cheers

That looks like a non-BT phone socket. Did they have Virgin in the property previously?

Hello,
Its a new flat, i have fiber with openreach, and outside the a virgin box, but seems its not installed, because i dont see any cable from there to inside the house.
On other side, openreach have a box outside, the ont and that socket inside on the wall inside a cupboard.
Im going with vodafone full fibre 500, they going to activate the service soon, i have 2 sockets like that, one down next to ont and one up, im confused what connections that i need to do so i can use the one up and have internet there.
Thanks

I doubt that you will be able to use those sockets to run ethernet to upstairs. but as we aren't sure just what they are who knows?
Have you tried taking one off and seeing just what type of cable is attached?

Fair enough, but as I don't think you will be using them it shouldn't matter.
Do you know your neighbours yet? Perhaps you could ask if they have the same and know what they are?
You said it is a new flat, but is it a new build, or just new to you?
