Gigabit 900 with Linksys WRT 3200acm possible?

Not very tech savvy and just wondered if it is possible to use a Linksys WRT3200acm with the gigafast 900 service?
I only ask as the VF router that came with the service is awful. I mean really awful. My speeds are slow most of the time. I mean I have buffering issues when it is just me in the house watching netflix.
I have called their broadband "Experts" and just get fobbed off. So I had this laying around from when I was with another provider and wondered if it can be used or not.

Any help would be appreciated. But like I say, I am not very tech savvy.

It's not the newest router on the block!  If your connection is via OpenReach, then the answer is a positive yes it will work, but if it's via CityFibre you might need to use either OpenWRT or DD-WRT in order to set VLAN 911 on the WAN port.  Using a third party firmware on this router is probably going to be more secure than the most recent 2 year old firmware from Linksys.

If you already have this router then you have nothing to lose by trying it, but it's not something I'd consider buying for the purpose.

*There are quite a few routers of this age that while they will technically manage 900Mbps connections, they won't manage those high speeds, and multiple connections well, even though they claim 3200Mbps total!

**I wouldn't expect that changing the router is going to have any effect on Netflix and the like buffering, especially if the connection from the router to the TV is via an ethernet cable.
